A Tacit Declaration on Cameroon's Cyber Detractors & Terrorists
By Ernest L. Molua
Technology and its associated innovations have been acknowledged in seasoned studies to be veritable ingredients for economic progress and development. The rapid evolution of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) in Cameroon since the mid 1990s has been heralded as a double-prong mechanism to educate the Cameroon masses and inform the outside world of the workings of the ecology and socioeconomics of the nation state. In other words, ICT has been acknowledged within and out of Cameroon's policy circles to be a tool to brand the Republic of Cameroon and re-engineer the productive force of its citizenry and usher the kind of growth that private firms in the northern hemisphere have reaped from the exploitation of ICT. For contemporary Cameroon, however, this objective has been anathema to the illusion of some selfish forces. The advent of economic parasitism has not only led to the abuse of ICT as a basic weapon of mass economic development, but increasing economic ‘refugeeism’ by Cameroonians seeking ‘supposedly’ better living conditions abroad have intensified not only the abuse of ICT but also its increasing deployment for selfish gain and the spread of lies. This is unfortunate. This should not be accepted by any bonafide Cameroonian. This is a cancer more dangerous than other challenges that the republic faces as it builds a progressive democratic nation state.
It is now common when Cameroonian natives emigrate and the consular need to meet migration requirements daunts, cabals with economic escapism motives resort to lies telling. However, the real tragedy is when these economic refugees either start believing in their own lies or seize inglorious opportunities to make money selling false affidavits to other emigrants to secure asylum in Euro-America. Unfortunately, their recurrent hallucination has implied the crowding out of the Cameroon cyberspace with innuendoes and parasitism that aims to justify their asylum. This sheer thoughtlessness is allowed to gain momentum by commentaries from obnoxious shortsighted ill-educated journalists, at home and abroad, who convey darkness more accurately than light.
This double evil not only scares away investors and miseducate Cameroon youths but equally deprive native Cameroonians of the peace and tranquility required to operate in sanity to attain the country’s developmental objectives.
While the government of the Republic of Cameroon uses legitimate institutions to watch on the enemies of the State to keep its citizens safe and its territorial integrity checked, well meaning citizens must also be vigilant and amass courage to defend the homeland, in a manner that obliterates such described enemies and create an atmosphere for socioeconomic policy prescriptions to take root and for the development of Cameroon be realized, sooner rather than later. The forward march in attaining the development vision of Cameroon cannot be compromised. Not now, and never.
As a matter of fact, there is more wrongdoing on the ideals of nation building, on the tears of our ancestors and on the hopes of our forefathers who voted and politicked pre- and post-independence era for the Cameroon that we have inherited; by absentee patriots who would sit idly and watch the destruction of the name and fabric of Cameroon by renegade economic migrants and asylum seekers.
The time has never been ripe as now for true patriots to rise up and be counted, take on cowards who post intolerable nonsensical in cyberspace to justify not only their asylum but for their tacit economic gain by mislabeling of Cameroon. In this guise, a National Patriotic Front for the Defense of the Homeland (NPF-DH) is an idea whose time has come for well-meaning citizens to congregate and address the opposing forces in and out of Cameroon's boarder. Meeting the challenge posed by cyber- terrorists should be a glorious path to stake for the ideals of our forebears.
Some may have contrary views and arguments. Yes, it is true that these low-lives, cowards who have disguised as cyber-terrorists are a distraction; with no need to waste efforts on their rendition, sleep deprivation and water boarding - for their toil on three jobs in foreign lands is enough torture and sleep deprivation; their toil in the itchy and biting winters is more treacherous than any water boarding technique; yet patriotic Cameroonians must not lose sight on the ultimate prize and sacrifice: the defense of the homeland in its totality.
With the passage of time, accumulated information from online cyber discourses paint an accurate picture on the need to take this challenge seriously. While economic cowards, cynics, nay-sayers, detractors and conspicuous cyber-terrorists have seized the Cameroon cyberspace, progressive forces of the Republican rationale are bound both by the laws of the land and moral rationality to responsibly protect the country in its entirety using all known forms of defence.
It is not an exaggeration that Cameroon remains the last bastion of peace in Africa. The triangular landmass - Cameroon - is blessed at this point in its history to have a thoughtful peace-loving leadership which ignores diabolic rants from detractors. However, ordinary men and women must rise up to put an end to the idiotic insanity that Cameroon diaspora and its sympathizers propagate.
When the 21st century history of Cameroon is written, the betrayal by individuals who benefited from government's largesse; not limited to free healthcare and subsidized education from primary schooling to university education; will be documented. Some in this cabal received state sponsorship in very expensive universities in the northern hemisphere, accumulating terminal degrees. Their incessant online diabolic rants from hideouts in Europe and North America are not only unfortunate because they squandered Cameroon's tax payers' resources but a classic hallmark of human ingratitude and an epitome of human failure. Rather than putting the investment in their human capital development into productive nation building, these vainglorious boisterous cabals idle in cyberspace; possibly as a deflection of their own failures and travails in self-actualization.
It is time for Cameroon to regain its cyberspace from marooning economic refugees. The time is now. The call is urgent. True patriots and any one who was born a Cameroonian, lives a Cameroonian and would die as a Cameroonian to be buried in Cameroon, must stand up and setout to challenge the shenanigans of these cowards. True patriotic Cameroonians must voice their views in the defense of the homeland. The contrary is akin to betrayal.
While these cyber-cowards who reap, unbeknownst to them, from the blood and toil of Euro-American forebears who gave up life to build viable states that they now parasite in, true patriotic Cameroonians must not stand on the sidelines and read or watch these forces of evil thrash their villages, their regions and their republic in public with cheap ignorant talk for selfish motive of gaining asylum abroad.
It is imperative to stand up and be counted in the defense of the homeland, and face the fatherland's detractors eye-ball to eye-ball, shoulder-to-shoulder in virtual defense for the ideals of our forefathers, whether in cyberspace or in its spatial physical equivalent. The call to serve the good of Cameroon has never been urgent. And now is the right time. If you are a pogressive Cameroonian, it is time to prove it.

This is an excellent piece with a lot of truth in it. I urge you to be strong enough to withstand the vilification which must surely come from the beneficiaries of asylum racketeering. I praise your courage and I do hope that people would rather deal with the issues raised rather than engage in personal invectives. There is nothing wrong with being CPDM..

THANK YOU SIR, FOR THIS STATEMENT OF TRUTH. THE DAYS OF FAKE POLITICAL ASYLUM FOR ECONOMIC REFUGEES WILL SOON BE OVER. THOSE IN EURO-AMERICA WHO WILL ATTACK YOU, WILL ONLY BE DOING SO OUT OF SHAME. THEY KNOW THE AMERICAN OR EUROPEAN DREAM HAS TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE. MANY HERE IN THE USA ARE ALREADY LOOKING FOR WAYS TO MOVE BACK TO CAMEROON. HOW WILL THEY HANDLE ALL THE LIES AND FALSE PROMISES MADE TO RELATIVES/FRIENDS?

We can always prey on the hopes and fears of innocent Cameroonians. The truth will eventually reveal itself. We can suck all the shit we want, including selling our mothers and our souls for political gains. Remember, some of us are made of substance which is not difficult to break...thanks
