The 2008 edition of the African business forum has opened in London with Prime Minister Ephraim Inoni leading the Cameroonian Delegation. In an address presented during the opening ceremony, Ephraim Inoni detailed a series of measures that have been taken by government to create a favorable atmosphere for businesses in the country saying these measures are backed by an efficient legal framework. The Cameroon PM said the country is endowed with enormous natural and skilled human resources that can be effectively exploited.
Referring to the theme of the forum which is” Accelerating Growth: Partnerships for Reaching the Millennium Development Goals in Africa”, the Cameroon’s Prime Minister indicated that government is working hand in gloves with the private sector to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and consequently reduce poverty.
The forum which goes on for two days is focusing on issues like investment in Africa, trade and business in the continent, job creation and poverty in Africa.
The forum has been convened by the common wealth Business Council (CBC) and Business Action for Africa.//CRTV
