Authorities of the Ministry of Trade and the three major Importers of fertilizers in Cameroon have agreed on measures to be taken henceforth in order to set homologated prices for fertilizers. The measures include the communication of key market and business information by the fertilizer importers to the Ministry of Trade. The ministry will then setup selling prices for fertilizers and organise quarterly consultative meetings for both parties. The measures were agreed upon at a recent consultative meeting in Yaounde between officials of the Ministry of Trade and the three key importers of fertilizers in Cameroon chaired by Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana. The move is intended to halt the excessive hike in the prices of fertilizers in Cameroon that has more than doubled in four years.
